Understanding wheel specifications
Offset
Offset is the distance from the wheel centerline to its mounting face, measured in millimeters. Changing it moves the wheel inward or outward and changes clearance.
Backspacing
Backspacing measures from the mounting face to the inner wheel edge, in inches. More backspacing places the inner edge farther into the wheel well.
Hub bore
Hub bore is the center opening of the wheel. It must clear the vehicle hub. A larger opening may need the correct hub-centric ring or approved hardware.
Illustrations are not to scale. Side sections show a positive-offset example; your wheel may differ.
- Lug seat type
- Lug seat type is the shape where the lug nut contacts the wheel. Use hardware with the seat type specified for that exact wheel.
- Why a fit needs review
- Review notes identify an extra fitment check, such as hub rings, axle position or size and offset clearance. They are not a direct-fit approval.
Fitment can vary by trim, suspension and tire size. Confirm your complete vehicle configuration before installation.
